12th Annual Benefit Dinner

September 29, 2022
Country Club of New Canaan

Thank You To Our Generous Sponsors & All Who Attended!

On Thursday, November 29, SJPC Executive Director, Rhonda Neal, the SJPC Board and Kathleen and Michael Abbott hosted the SJPC Annual Benefit Dinner at the Country Club of New Canaan.  The evening was a wonderful success, and we are grateful to our friends, sponsors, staff and Board of Directors for their support and contributions.

A centerpiece of the SJPC Annual Benefit Dinner is the Imagine Award which is presented to an individual who achieves greatness in positively impacting the lives of CT children and parents. This year, the SJPC Imagine Award honored CT Department of Children & Family Services Commissioner, Vannessa L. Dorantes.

Commissioner Dorantes has served as DCF Commissioner since 2019 and has achieved major program advances that significantly increase and improve CT family access to health and wellness programs and services. SJPC Executive Director, Rhonda Neal, introduced Commissioner Dorantes  “as a longtime supporter of Saint Joseph Parenting Center and our work on the front lines of child abuse and neglect prevention through our parent-education and community support programs”  and “a leader who understands the importance of family relationships, physical and emotional presence, mental wellness and financial stability to a child’s well-being..”

The Annual Benefit Dinner celebrates SJPC’s mission to Educate the Parent, Protect the Child and recognizes SJPC accomplishments and plans for the future. Sincere thanks to all who participated and supported this wonderful event!
