Volunteers are a critical part of the SJPC community bringing their time, experience and energy to our parenting programs and community and fund-raising events.
We are always looking for parenting class facilitators to share their experience- we seek professionals from the areas of nursing, social work, behavioral health specialists and good role model parents – we will fully train you to run the programs. Commit to 2 classes, twice a year.
We run several fund-raising events each year, including a Basketball Tournament, Benefit Breakfast, Benefit Dinner, Golf Outing, and Steak Dinner. We value the help needed for these events to run smoothly. You can participate in one specific event for a few hours or if you have more time on an ongoing basis, talk to us about how to be involved.
On the days we hold classes, we also serve meals and snack to our families. We appreciate your time and assistance in helping setup, serve meals, and donating food. You can volunteer for one specific day/time, or on a more frequent basis.
We run several community events each year for our clients and their families, including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Children’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Holiday Drives. We value the help needed for these events to run smoothly. You can participate in one specific event for a few hours or if you have more time on an ongoing basis, talk to us about how to be involved.
Your name is love, because you showed me love and compassion when I needed it the most.
Your name is patience, because you took time to listen to me when my stories were long and my heart was heavy.
Your name is kindness, because you used your healing hands to touch my pain and guide me when I was lost.
Your name is mentor, because you taught me the lessons that life cannot teach so soon.
Your name is a volunteer, you are love, patience, kindness, a mentor and so much more…
We celebrate you the volunteer.
